We bought this old potting bench at a garage sale for a few dollars. I put it outside and it gradually evolved into Tommy cat's and Amber's kitty cat bunk bed. Tommy gets the top bunk because he has seniority. The cats decided that, not us.
On top of the bench there is a hole for the soil bucket. We put a stainless steel bowl there for dry cat food. The top of the bench is Tommy cat's breakfast and dinner station. He gets a little bit of canned food. Usually fish. I think that's a little healthier than poultry or beef.

Actually, it would be very easy to make a potting bench with a few basic tools. It could be made out of pine and then painted instead of using cedar. Well, use your imagination. Who knows what would make a good kitty cat bunk bed?
