There is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

 "A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother."

Rod: There is two thoughts here.

   1. If you have friends you should be friendly.

   2. The friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Perhaps you have a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Or mabe your best friend right now is your dog.  But for me my best friend is Jesus (God).

   Once you except Jesus as your Lord and savior you are then sealed with the Holy Spirit and He stays with you until the day of redemption. So at any time you can pray in Jesus name and you know that God hears you. There is plenty to be said about that relationship, but for now the topic is friends.

 Rod: If you are a real friend then you love your friend all of the time, even when there is adversity between you.

Jesus said

"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."

Rod: Notice that Jesus said, that to lay down your life for a friend is the greatest love.

That is why some christian people spend a great deal of their time serving others.

For example a gospel mission that helps and feeds homeless people or people in need.

On a personal level, whenever someone gives their own time or resources to help somebody who needs help. That is showing love and friendship. That is being a friend.

     And Jesus leads by example. He literally gave His life for His friends. But He didn't stay dead. He was raised from the dead three days later. He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time. 1Corinthians 15:6

LIFE: A Fountain of Life

What if you could drink from a fountain that would make you live for a thousand years without pain, sickness, or any fear of death. During this thousand years you would be a ruler under a great king. A great king who is ruling over the entire world.

After the thousand years you would watch this great king  burn up the present heavens and earth and create a new heavens and earth that would continue forever with no more death. Yes, you would get to rule with Him forever.

Sounds too good to be true? Well that's what a lot of people think.
Too bad they won't consider the evidence. They are willing to believe any false claims about the Bible. Most people don't want to know this great king. But this great king wants all people to know Him.
This is no fairy tale. Every person who lives must make a choice to believe the gospel or not.

FELINE: Eye Redness

This is "Mommy cat". She's ready for us to set the table for dinner. Actually, she's wondering why it's taking soo long. That's my chair but she hates to give it up to me. She loves cheese (thanks to my father in law). She has a sense of smell like a bloodhound. If you open a cheese wrapper in the kitchen she'll be there soon. At first I tell her, no you can't have any cheese. It's not good for you to eat a lot of cheese. But she just keeps staring at me with those accusing eyes. OK! OK. Give me a minute to cut it up. So I have to cut it into little tiny pieces. If the pieces are too big, then we're back to the accusing eyes.

Over the years I've had a lot of kitty cats. We lived in a house with an open crawlspace and the feril cats would go under the house to have kittens. Well as soon as the kittens started coming outside I would start taming them. As soon as they got big enough we would adopt them out. If we couldn't tame them we would trap them and get them fixed. We always had our hands full while we lived there. Sometimes there would be a cat or two with red on the skin around the eyes. So I would brew some eyebright tea and wash thier eyes using a cotton ball with eyebright tea. It always worked. I would buy the bulk eyebright herb at the health food store. After brewing, I would strain it through a coffee filter before using.

HEALTH: Cosmetic Data Base

     I used the "Cosmetic Data Base" to find the least toxic

organic deodorant. They have a "score key" button: green,

yellow or red and one through ten for degree of risk. An

example is "Right Guard Sport Deodorant Aerosol, Fresh".

This product has a red button and a score of 8,
"high hazard". Some of the catagories of concern are
cancer, developmental/reproductive toxicity, allergies/
 immunotoxicity, etc. They give a list of ingredients and
explain the risks of each in detail.

     The very next product following the "Right Guard"

is "FDS Feminine Deodorant Spray" with the same
score and "high hazard". Hmmmm? Wonder why we're

all getting sick?

I try to avoid all soy products. That's no easy task. I don't use canola oil (knowingly). But hey! Corn? I love corn products! Well this is certainly a problem.

"and God saw that it was good."

Genesis 1:11-12 NASB

11.Then God said, "Let the earth sprout vegetation : plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them"; and it was so.
12.The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind ; and God saw that it was good.

Gen. 1:24-25 NASB

24.Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind : cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind "; and it was so.
25.God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind ; and God saw that it was good.

Gen. 1:27 NASB

27.God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

GEN. 1:31 NASB

31.God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

Well, God said that what He made was "very good" but man wants to be god. Who can fathom the sickness and ill health being brought upon the human race by these mad scientists?
